hahaha, I do believe you. Bro's aren't from TN. You guys do the 'high rida' thing and drive mud bogger trucks. More affectionately termed, hicks. (I am not calling you a hick)

Thanks for all the insight and information. I believe that my best bet right now is the 265/70/17 and 5100s.

Cheapest place I've found the TGs is Summit.

Any problems with ordering the moto metals from 4 wheel parts. They have them on sale now at 20% off.

Any suggestions for ordering the 5100s. I see that toytec has them.

What am I going to have to do to lift the rear? Should I order an add a leaf from toytec? I would like to keep a slight rake with the look of the truck, and I'm worried that if I add 2.5" to the front with the billsteins that I'm going to need to do something with the rear.

    thanks

Toyota technical service bulletin: add a leaf.

Search- TSB -there is a massive thread on it. Your dealer will give you an addional add a leaf for free from toyota, but you gotta research this.

^ The Toyota TSB alone would not work well with the front lifted to 2.5" with the 5100's. You'd then have a low rear end.

The TSB does, however, work well in conjunction with the 5100's set to 1.75".

So, it seems that even with the TSB I will still need to do an add a leaf???

If I set the billsteins to 1.75 and do the TSB, will I still have the stock rake or will it be level?

Thanks again for bearing with me and all of my questions!

My understanding from all those that have that combo is that you would have a level truck with the 5100's set to 1.75 and had the TSB done. With the 2.5" setting I guess you could add a leaf in addition to the TSB to bring you back to level again (or slight rake depending on what AAL you chose).

You can forget about ride quality with Toyo M/T's on a light truck like ours. Those toyo m/t's are heavy heavy tires (33's are 68lbs) due to very thick side walls. Load range "E" I think. And you can forget about getting any kind of decent gas milage then. Very nice tire but too heavy for our trucks IMO. Most 33's are around 57 lbs.

Wrong, it would work well. If he has an access cab or regular cab the truck will sit even, if not still butt high. How do I know? Cause I drive an access cab. If you have a double cab long bed then you might sit nose high because of the weight distribution.

You will be butt high with 1.75 and add a leaf. It will have a stock stance, just higher.

Always cancel out your variables and start with what's free, the TSB leaf pack. Want more lift? Add a block.

You will have a slight rake.

Like I said, with an access cab you will have a front rake with 2.5 and add a leaf.

My truck is a double cab. Guess I'll start with the billsteins and TSB and go from there.

    thanks

With the leaf spring TSB do you guys only do 5100s in the front and leave the stock billys in the rear? Or what?

^ That's what I plan to do. I've had the TSB done, and I plan to get the 5100's for just the front, then set them to 1.75" to level out.

You could just leave it, but I found that after installing the bigger bilstein shock in the rear that the ride was smoother, better controlled, and performed better off highway.

So...how much total lift from stock are we talking here with the TSB 4-pack springs and the 5100's at the described 1.75 setting?
