bad hesitation at 3000rpm

    please tell me your thoughts on this

    I was driving home today and as i went up a little hill my truck geared down revd up and as it hit 3000rpm, it instantly dropped to idle.I tried to accelerate again but the same thing. it runs fine under 3000. any ideas would be great. thanks

    yes the light is on and has been for a long time! dealer said my filter is plugged at the evap can, so i said sweet change it out and lets move the can , they said no moving can and its gonna cost ya 1300$ for a filter! you can probably guess what i said next,

    Well.....Im guessing thats the problem. You can change the filter out, but you have to drop the tank, or remove the bed to get to it.

    really, even after 100000km with no problems? anybody know where a guy can get one for under 1300$ ill give it a try.
