    Hey all-

My name is Coleman and I finally lifted my tacoma after lurking here for a few months and asking some newby questions. I went cheap and threw on a 3" revtek lift, added new procomp rear shocks, painted my stock rims black (flat), and threw on some new 33x10.5 BFG KM2 mud terrains.

Im livin in LA, so if you guys are nearby and want to wheel, hit me up!

That is one nice looking truck. You should paint your tool box to match the wheels.

ooo, not a bad idea. not like i need another project though. I think my next item will be some offroad lights on a front bar.

as far as the lift goes, I kind of regret going cheap. The revtek looks great, but the ride is stiff. I feel like if I had spent an extra 700 bucks I could have coil overs. (Although adding the new rear shocks improved the ride a LOT) Hindsight is 20x20, and the way these things are...you could always "just spend 100 bucks more" and have the next best thing. There is no ROOF to the upgrades!

I just want to wheel it now. I went to hungry valley and that was pretty fun, but I want to do some forest roads now. Anyone know of some good forest roads not too far from LA (within 2.5 hours?)

True hindsight is 20/20, is always the case just spend a little (or a lot) and get something better but there's no limit to that so it's best just to stick within your means. For example I bought SAW 2.0 coilovers for the front but if I just spent another $350 I could have got Icons, but if I just spend another $350 I could have Kings w/ resis. But I figured the SAWs will be fine because there's not much places to wheel in Hawaii and there is no fast stuff like in Cali etc.
