So far so good. Did you end up hitting those tabs with a soldering iron or going with epoxy?

I haven't joined the two yet, think I'm gonna go the soldering iron route. I don't think I want to mess with glue.

Still have to do some more polishing, but for the most part it is done! The black I picked is almost a perfect match (duplicolor met. black for GM vehicles). I stoked to be rid of the chrome forever!

Hey what's up man? Wish I had time to get out to Jersey again. Anyway, I just used a soldering iron and melted the tabs. I worked them into a kinda "nail head". Hold it together for a few seconds and work your way around. This method was super easy, about 30 minutes and I was done.

I just lined up all the tabs and laid the whole grill on my lap. As far as the melting part, I tried just bending them over but it wasn't a tight bond. Start at the top of the tab and melt down till you reach the other plastic. I even melted the inner part a little to get a good bond, then work the melted plastic into a "head". Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

To you LOL, but I just read, it was duplicolor metallic black for GM vehicles. Right? Where did you get it from?

I got it at advanced auto parts. Not an exact match but pretty close, I'm sure there are better matches in a generic can, I just eyeballed it.

If anyone is interested, I'm in the process of painting the chrome T thing emblem on my 2010 to match the gray/graphite metallic grille color center. I found that the Duplicolor Wheel Coating in "Graphite" is a very close match. I picked up the clear coat as well for it, but not sure if I will need it. I used 320 grit sand paper as per the instructions to prep the emblem. The can also says that this stuff is good for plastic hub caps so is should adhere well to the plastic.

I may end up re-doing the whole grille center in this stuff; I mucked up the grille pretty bad in a spot trying to get tar or something off of it. Stripped the clear coat/shine off of it with the cleaner or from scrubbing too hard.

You can pick up the paint and clear coat at most auto parts stores for about $6 each.
