I have had my truck since 4/21/10, roughly 4 months and when i leave work today i will hit 10kmi (it's at 9999 now). Damn, those miles are racking up fast. Can't say I'm sad about it though, i love my truck and i'd rather drive it then have it sit in the driveway.

    10kmi in 4 months

Just broke 10K on my 09 today. Bought it in May 2009. Yup, that's all of 10K in 15 months!

I share commuting/errand duties with my motorcycle, only drive into work 4 days a week, and family truckster duties usually go to the wifes car (Jetta TDI gets over double the mpg as the Tacoma), so not many miles.

Almost 8 1/2 months old, 14,580 miles on it, today.

Had a tranny drip at 2 months old that took two trips to dealer to fix (free of course, with free rental car provided), when it was pretty new.

It came from the speedometer cable port plug on the passenger side of the tranny/ transfer case area where right hand steering models (for Japan, Thailand, Australia, England, etc.) would have a cable attached. Our cable is attached on the drivers side.

That is it... have changed the oil four times so far (3,200/ 6,800/ 10,500/ 14,300 miles) and rotated the tires once (6,800 mi.).

So far, this truck is superior to my 2005 in being 'trouble free' (the '05 had brake and rear suspension issues)... and almost as perfect as my 2001... which had NO issues or failures for 90,000 miles.

I just hit 5700 miles today and I've had mine for 8-1/2 months. However, my commute is less than a third of what it was when I had my Tundra and averaged 15K miles/year.
