My 2010 is only 9 months old and I've got this ridiculous sort of gargling sound coming from my muffler when I start it up in the morning. I live in hawaii so i dont think its because its from being too cold and I have no ideas. Take a listen and maybe you can figure it out..it gets really bad around :11. Thanks in advance

Check the entire run for loose anything. Check to make sure the heat shields are not touching anywhere. There is a welded on heat shield to near the spare. make sure it's still welded on both sides. Look for dirt rocks inside that shield too.

Still can't find it.? When it's cold use a rubber mallet to tap different places and see if you can isolate where it's coming from. Maybe a bunch of gecko's climbed into it, and now it's just bones.

Could be a broken baffle inside muffler. Bang on the actual muffler w/ your fist and see if you hear anything.

check the catalytic converter heat shields too. They can rust out at the seams and rattle.

I have the same problem but I get the gargling in low RPMs because of the current intake/exhaust setup I have. I do not have enough air going in to come out and thats the reason why mine makes the noise... :(

EDIT: I should have listened to the gargling before I commented lol sounds like theres something lose in the muffler. Has nothing to do with what I am talking about and the sound is completely different haha

hm... take it to the dealer you are under warranty with a 2010. :) don't let them shorten your peddle though on the recall thing for the accelerator pedal.

Could the muffler belt need re-tensioning?

Check all heat shields and anything that might be loose like posted above. If all is good take it to the dealer and have it replaced. Or buy new exhaust.;)
