Best In The Desert; Vegas to Reno

August 20th I will be helping out with this race,

I will be playing checkpoint. Writing down car #'s' and times as they come through. I will be located here; 37°21'3.10"N 117° 9'6.34"W.
My location is mile 84 of the race. It is a "Y" in the course and I need to make sure the racers make the hard left and stay on course. This location is only a flagger spot and is not a Pit location. Other than a couple of cars missing the turn and having to double back, it should be rather eventless.
All are welcome to come watch the race and hang out for the day.

I think that's one of the races some friends of mine help out with, not sure if they are doing it this year though.

I will most likely take off from my place around 5pm. Get to the site, set up camp. Then friday just hang out and watch the race. All I really have to do is write down car #'s and times. It will take most of the day I'm sure until the last car passes us. I will be getting more info in a week or so.

A racer plowed down spectators last night at a Cali race. All the guys who were ganna go are scared now. Hahaha....5 day bump!

 

Wish I could do this! Have a good time man.

 

I wouldn't say that... 2 hour drive time.. You need to be there at 6am.. Kinda early...
