You can definitely claim this under your insurance as vandalism. It wouldn't be so bad if you've never had any prior claims in the past or wouldn't need to file any claims in the future (knock on wood). But the more claims you file, regardless of the cost in damages, will go on your insurance record and eventually would affect your premium when multiple claims start adding up.

Same here, except mine is Indigo Ink.

Happened in 2007, about 5 months after I bought the truck new. Went from the front passenger panel into the main passenger door. I hit it with touch-up paint at the time, but I never got it properly fixed either. Don't want to bother now.

Still pisses me off when I see it though.

dude het some touch up paint and a polish and go at it a few times...you will never get rid of it , but it will make it alot easier and cheaper than a real fix.
this happened to me the whole length of my nismo 5 years ago...and thats what i did...1 month later i was over it and it never really bothered me
just leave it a lil dirty and you will never see it

Sucks man I am your age and I tell you what I would rather risk getting my ass kicked over them damaging my truck. The way I live if someone says or does something, they better have enough balls to say it to my face. And if they bring a friend, you bring more. Hope you find out who did this.

GO TO THE DEALER AND GET A TOUCH UP PEN OF PAINT FROM THEM. THEY WILL NEED YOUR PAINT COLOR/CODE. I HAD A SCRATCH ON THE REAR BUMPER WITH 767 MILES ON IT. ITS AN 09 FROM BARACKOBAMA. THEY TOUCHED IT UP FOR ME AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. I THEN PUT ANOTHER SCRATCH IN ALMOST THE SAME PLACE. CLEANED THE SPOT, TOUCH THE TIP TO THE SCRATCH AND IT LIKE MAGIC JUST DISAPPEARED. I WAS REALLY SURPRISED AND IMPRESSED WITH THE MATCH. I DEFY ANYONE TO DETECT IT.

THE PEN/PAINT WAS LESS THAN $10.
    HOPE THIS HELPS

That blows turds man! The day i got my Taco I went to a house party at my friends house. He had his murdered out lifted F350 sitting on 24" Rockstars parked less than 15 feet from the front door. On one side of him my other buddy was parked with his also lifted murdered out chevy on 24"s. Both of them got keyed 360 degrees around the trucks and the all their tires slashed. The douche bags who did it even keyed "***" into his hood. I was so lucky they didn't hit my truck which was right next to them. I got insurance to cover vandalism the next day. They might not have hit mine on purpose, or possibl they just ran out of time. A tacoma is alot less obnoxious than a big ass lifted diesel. I feel your pain though.
