I have never gotten less than 20 mpg so I guess I could always be in the 400 club :).

But congrats on 400, if I could do that every tank in a V6 I would have bought it instead.

I have the 6 cyl and the 6speed and I average about 20 but I have gotten 22 once when it was all freeway driving. I hardly ever get my engine above 2500rpm. My last tacoma was the 2.4 and I always got over 25 and as high as 30 when it was all freeway. Of course I'm a old goat and not in a big hurry anymore.

    Yours is broke. :D

    jk

Those who are not getting at least in the mid to high 300's need to check their accessories...wheels/tires...and tire pressure.

I have an all stock SR5 DC 4x4 with the steelies/Dunlap's...and get high 300's with a few gallons left in the tank at fill-up. I'm sure I could see 400 if I ran her empty...and 400+ if I stayed out of the accelerator.

I don't baby the truck or drive like and old lady. Matter of fact...I drive fairly aggressively (got to around all these tourists)

Also have nitrogen in the tires. This may help.

I believe tires are the biggest mpg killer. As much as I love the look of lifted Tacoma's with off road tires...as my DD that will only see limited dirt...I'm gonna have to stick w/ the Dunlap's until they are worn, then I'll probably roll Michelin LTX's

If your light comes on at 350, you can make 400. My light comes on at just over 17 gallons.

    same shit as everyone else
Theres a 400 club?!?! Shiz i joined that the week i bought my truck! I drove from Whidbey Island Washington to Salem Oregon in the middle of the night on a sunday. I had the cruze set at 65 the whole time and didn't stop once. I had about 350 miles when i was done and drove it back up the same way. I made it all the way back to south portland before i filled up with an average of 24.5 mpg. Thats in a V6 4x4! Now if i had to a/c on it would be different. Too bad my best in hawaii has been about 17mpg...

Btw anyone watch Top Gear? Jeremy clarckson proved you can get better MPG in an M3 then the Prius! Its all about speed and gears...
