If you wheel alot or plan to often, DON'T get spacers...if your like me and wheel sometimes but nothing crazy and don't have the loot to just throw at a lift then yea get it...I've had no issues with mine at all. The ride is close to stock, and performs fine off road (for what I do) ! I just got my lift as a temp thing, when my Fiance' is done with school and working again i'll upgrade to some better shit :)

I just have the front spacer...I did a AAL in the rear

I had a 3" spacer lift up front but after seeing the cv angles and the boot ribs rideing (even with the diff drop spacers) i removed it and went with a 2" spacer lift. I still have the diff drop spacers in and the cv angles look really good. Also, the truck handles better now and it doesn't have any vibration issues.

 I have blocks on top of the springs in front and under springs in the back...floats pretty bad like a boat on road....off road just hang on...bouncy and squeaky but haven't been able to break anything yet. (knocks on wood) I'd say scrape together all the money you can and spend it. (do it better)

Here is the ONLY real problem with the spacer lift.

The spacer lift pushes your shock to an almost maxed out position, meaning the shock has very little downward movement-this causing a rougher ride. If you replace your struts to longer struts and use the spacer you will have less problems and a better ride. I would not use a spacer lift, but many do. I would suggest spending a little more and getting new struts, springs, and aal's. Not really too much more expensive.

IMO stay away from spacer lifts. And yes the picture of the destroyed shock and A-arm is not a result of a spacer lift, its the result of slamming the truck into a huge pothole. The impact even bent his A-arm, now that's a hard hit!

I am running a Toytec 3" Spacer lift with the TSB and an AAL over BFG 285/75/16 on stock rims with a 1/4 inch spacer. I think it rides fine. It is more rough than the stock suspension, but I am fine with that. I also dont rub very much at all. In reverse at full lock I rub the uca.
