I have them on my truck and love them. They're a little loud but what do you expect from a m/t tire. They clear really well.

I went to Pep Boys tonight with my son and was going to have the Definity Mud Terrains (265/75/16) put on his 2007 Tacoma dblcab O/R. They started breaking down the wheels and destroyed the tire sensor on the first wheel. I then watched them try to balance it once the new tire was installed. After about the 5th solution on the balance machine and looking at the amount of weight on the wheel I told him to stop. The equipment in the shop didn't look well maintained, and the machine that broke the tires down wasn't even anchored to the floor. It rocked back and forth as he moved the tire. I told them to put the tired looking Nitto's back on the two wheels that had been broken down at that point and I would go elsewhere. I really like the look of the tire, but the service left me with no confidence. I'll probably go to Discount and get BFG mud terrains. I've bought plenty of tires from them and they make the installation and balance look easy by comparison. Anybody else have problems with Pep Boys installs?

I have them on my Tacoma.....they came with the truck bought it used. The tires were put on at 36,000 miles now have close to 80 on the odo. They are a little thin now but enough to make it to summer. Good M/T tire but I'll probably go Nitto T/G's next.

    1) Contact Pep Boys corporate, they should know this!

    2) Buys the much cheaper tires at Pep Boys and then take them to a professional tire shop to have them mounted...!

I had a similar incident. They destroyed a TPMS sensor and scratched the hell out of the wheels. It took some time and lots of emails and phonecalls. But I was eventually compensated.

I am sure you must have gotten them since your post is a month old... but for others... FOUR WHEELER magazine did a mud tire test with 10 popular mud tires... BFG MTs came in 8th place... and Hankook Dynapro MTs came in 1st place! All were surprised...
