    Hello!

    My name is Tony and I have recently purchased a 2008 White Tacoma regular cab 2.7L 5speed 2wd. Base model. So far I really like the truck! It has enough go to get up to speed, the interior fit & finish is worlds apart from POS american made trucks, stereo sounds awesome and it has the utility I need!

    Few things I want to do to my Taco. I dont like how it looks from the factory. I am going to try and save for the ReadyLift 5lugger lift kit & some bigger wheels & tires. I also keep thinking of the aFe intake.... It would be nice...

    For now the plan is to de-badge the truck & Cut the exhaust before it turns around the mudflap, like neslerrah did;

    I like the clean look on my cars!

    Now for a few pictures... The 2nd day i had my taco, next to my lady's Camry;

    Taco doing some work!

    I was somewhat upset that I wasnt able to afford 6lugger, I wanted, but seeing neslerrah's Taco made me excited about my truck! His truck looks amazing, unless you really know Taco's its hard to tell that his truck is base 5lugger.

    Thanks! Is your Taco lifted in your signature with stock wheels & tires?

    Wow the Fat Bob's lift is only $219! That's very affordable!

    Did you get the add-a-leaf or rear blocks?

    Tony, Welcome from Glamorless Glendale.
    One thing to keep in mind if you chop the exhaust is the emissions check. They require the exhaust to come out from under the vehicle.
    Now if you save the cut off piece and get a clamp to put it on for testing it might get you passed.

    Had this problem on a Camaro my kid had and we had to run extensions out.

    Good luck on your mods!

    I already did it and I left enough material on the exhaust to slip exhaust clamp on it.

    I had thought about the emission stuff, but figured with exhaust clamp it shouldn't be a problem!

    1st mod!

    Before... Notice the hack-saw ready for action :D

    Chopping it off... I left enough material on each end, so i can slip on exhaust clamp with ease!

    I completely copied neslerrah's idea, I take no credit...lol I knew the exhaust curving around the mudflap was bugging me, once I saw neslerrah's truck, I knew I had to do this mod! I am de-badging the truck this weekend!

    I took the mudflaps off as well... Can't decide if I like that look with the stock tires...
