I never knew opinions were so polarized on this topic. It's like, "Ginger or Mary Anne?"

That said, there do seem to be fewer and fewer of these around.

I believe one of the reasons for the stepside was that livestock could be loaded into the bed and not trip on the wheelwells.

You are a fuckin fat ass idiot. I am really sick of your comments.... shut your mouth if you have nothing nice to say and move to TN. Who cares what they were used for?! that was in the past... Modern trucks with them look awful(excluding 1st gen Tacomas). Thats why the majority of the manufacturers dont put them on their trucks.

Again I'd advise you to shut your mouth

There is no need to make those posts... So what if you use spray paint on your truck? Look at Ms.TRD's valence write-up, look at everyone else who has used spray paint. It looks awesome!

I don't mind the way they look, but I wouldn't want to lose the bed space.

If I need to reach into the bed like that, I stand on my slider kickout :D No lost bed space, no problems reaching in.

stepside tacos remind me of the ranger edge.. garbage look, regardless of the truck.

However, of all the stepsides, the tundra step side is perhaps the ugliest vehicle to roll on our streets.

thats a clean ass step side, i like it alot actually, step sides arent so bad, its just not everyones cup of tea if u kno what i mean, my bro has a 02 step side f150, and its not so bad, :burnrubber:and its compelety blacked out.

i think step sides are for ppl that use there beds every often so they can step on the step side and reach into the bed instead of hoping on the wheel or putting the tailgate down.
but i do agree that, that one tundra the OP was talking about is really ugly, infact i think its one of the ugliest step sides there is.i think its more of the tailights that makes ugly VS the actual step side that makes it ugly.

You must'a bumped your head if you think stepsides are ugly. There's no better look for classic trucks. Fleetsides are nice, but there's no way I would take one over a stepside.
