    Woke up to a doorbell and knocking at the door..
    My neighbor tells me I may want to move my car..
    This is what I see..

    hopped in it and drove it to dry land (slowly)...
    no water damage at all.. water was just below the door line and far from the intake

    close call.. thank you, neighbor

    thankfully all of the houses on this street are built up much higher than the street.. the street is the only thing flooded at this point... the deepest part is of course in front of mine.. if i didn't have the taco in the garage i wouldn't be able to get out of here haha

    Buy that neighbor a case of beer and sit back with him/her and drink a few with them.

    My god, it's been raining all night and it's coming down like buckets at my house (near Lancaster, PA) right now and has been for hours. I can't believe how much water has come outta the sky here all night.

    The ground is sooooo hard & dry that it can't absorb all this water and its running off everywhere. My yard is pooling up and if it keeps raining like this, I'll have a small river running through my back yard.

    I hydrolocked an old car once. Biggest pain in the ass. Although it was pretty fun when you pull the plugs, crank it, and shoot water all over the garage walls :D
