lights on the blue end of the spectrum tend to kill your night vision a lot more than on the red end, hence why so many instrument clusters are colored this way. just food for though.

Blue to the human eye is the shortest frequency of light..

Thats why people can't see worth a crap with blue headlights.. :D

    anywho..

I just ordered the natural whites..

I have a question for Scoots..

Did you have to make sure you put the bulbs in one way so they worked or did it matter?

if you ordered the same ones as me no it doesn't matter. They aren't polarized. If it does matter it'll say on the package that they are polarized.

natural whites weren't my thing, so i got red ones.. I also added one to the a pillar gauge or the same style.. There are no hot or dim spots at all regardless of what the pictures look like.. gauge is tied into the rheostat so it dims with the cluster.. (As per TRD boost gauge install directions)

my SGII matches my stock clusters orange pretty good..

    first picture (stock)

second picture (red led's) with the SGII still in stock orange color..

third picture (red led's) with the SGII dialed in red to match..

fourth picture (red led in autometer)
Autometer housing is much different than the stock cluster in terms of how light emits
from it so I added 2 of the stock bulb condoms over the LED to dumb it down a little..

Easy on the eyes, dimable, uses less power, all in all a great outcome.. smile_ff3f4fba1c39dd8b105dab61d71e12abba3d77cf.gif
