ya twisted tins did a hell of a job. AM suspension did amazing work on the front and rear suspension. From what I hear though storing was the main guy actually worked for TC then quit opening a shop down the street. He didnt last long since he joined the military and is now a nuclear welder or something like that.

That truck was just up for sale about 2 months ago. Heard it sold. Hope its in a good home

I have another question - not related, but I hate making new threads for a simple question.
I am asking it in LT section, because you guys are the experts on this shit.

What is the advantage of a shock with a resi vs. normal shock? Is it simply more fluid to absorb the hardest of hits? Would a resi outperform another normal shock on everyday applications, or is this only for the "big bumps"

p.s. nelson18matt - if you still have those icons for sale I may be interested. I'm not sure if they would work for me though - since i have prolly 1.5" lift in the rear.

Resi shocks hold more oil which lets your shocks stay cooler longer during extended periods of hard driving. When your shock oil gets too hot it reduces the dampening ability of the shock.

The more fluid in the shock the cooler the shock will run. Resi=more fluid and im sure there are more advantages but thats my input!:D

As posted above. The resi holds more oil to keep them cooler longer. Bigger the resi the longer they stay cool. Then you got bypass the tubes help with setting the shocks up so you can get them to respond in different types of terrain. Most common being a 2 tube and 3tube bypass. But I have seen up to about 6tubes on a bypass.

almost... you know some girls don't want it too big cuz it tears shit up...

    :D:D:D

while the size of your resi matters, the travel of your shaft is more important...

More detail about bypass shocks than simple reservoirs, but it'll give you a decent overview:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/lo...45-long-travel-information-2.html#post1044823

The CVs are the limiting factor but they're a necessary evil. 95% of the wheeling I do is in 4wd. Not a lot of desert out there in the northeast but there are plenty of rocks to crawl over. :)
