1997 with oil cooler?

I am trying to buy a water pump for my 1997 Tacoma. Some pumps are used with an engine oil cooler and others are not. how can I tell the differance?

 

thats a new one where are you trying to get it from ive heard some odd questions like does your truck have a/c when buying cv shafts

 

It has nothing to do with an engine oil cooler. All 5VZ's have a small oil cooler unit.

The water pumps are different depending on whether you have an *automatic transmission fluid cooler* (part of the factory towing package on auto's).

And I would also like to add...that small engine oil cooler unit is reaaallyy expeennsive too

 

looked this up in manual and it is some sort off "oil cooler" that runs of the water pump. Kind of wierd I have a manual trany by the way.

 

Your 97 has a straight water pump. This is a picture of the water pump off my 96 tacoma (3.4L manual no tow package)
