    Actually I'm thinking about the Kenwood DNX9960- we have one in our Sportsmobile but I'm still researching. I'd like it to interface with the steering wheel controls if I can.

    Mine has the JBL subwoofer and such so I think I'll have to get a couple PAC-audio harnesses to get everything to work. I'm still figuring it out.

    Is yours the JBL/subwoofer system by chance?

    Yes, mine is the JBL one as well, but you're plugging the steering control harness into the headunit (DNX9960 in your case) so it doesn't matter if you have JBL or not. As long as the steering wheel interface is compatible with the head unit. It doesn't have the DNX9960 listed as compatible but I'm more than certain it is since it's based off the same design/interface as the DNX8120 and DNX9140 and I've used the SWI-Jack on both with no problems.

    As far as making the JBL set up work with the head unit I can't help you there. I pulled all mine out and rewired a better sub, amps, and speakers. I think there is a harness out there that makes it work but it's like 150 dollars. To me it wasn't worth it since the JBL system isn't all that impressive.

    My wife and I we're out in it just yesterday and it got a nice layer of dust on it- I immediately clay barred it however. :)

    Thanks for the info- I agree that about the factory system but a bigger priority right now is the nav feature. I'll have to find that harness you speak of!
