Ivan Stewart wheel owners-READ THIS

I don't know if this has ever been discussed here or not, but I wanted to suggest that all you guys running the Ivan Stewart wheels INSPECT YOUR WHEELS! A couple of weeks ago, while changing my front shocks, I noticed that all 4 of my Ivan Stewart wheels were cracked at the lug seats. I'm currently pushing Toyota to replace them...we'll se how that goes. It'd be a bad deal if one came off running down the road. By the way, they have about 45,000 miles on them.

It'll be interesting to see what they do.

If you brought it to me the first thing I'd do would be to try and find out if you'd ever had a shop mount your wheels, because if they were put on with an impact gun you'd be SOL as far as I'm concerned. Torque specs are there for a reason.

Yeah, they probably were overtightened. Who knows? I'm sure that a lot of tire shops over tighten wheels, that's why I wanted to let guys with these wheels know to watch out for it. I don't know what Toyota will do. Don't really matter, but I had to try.

That would piss me off, probably some dumbass at a tire shop that got trigger happy with the impact gun.
