I'm going to hope that I jumped the gun with my assumption. When you say tailgaters...What do you mean?

I hate being tailgated just as much as the next guy but if you're looking to wiring a rear facing HID light specifically for blinding the shit out of the person behind you, you're just as much of a problem...

This was my first inclination...I'm hoping the OP means tailgate parties...Throw some light on a late night BBQ out on the trail or whatever and not blinding the shit outta people.

^^^^ x2. Doing that could cause the person behind you to get into an accident, which you could be held responsible for. It's not worth it IMHO.

Maybe it would be better to just carry around a bag of banana peels and nails to get rid of those pesky tailgaters. :D

If I was behind you and you blinded me with your illegal rear facing white lights, I would hit you and then sue you.

Hopefully for you, the next guy that you do this to isn't as much of an ass hole

What needs to be cleared up? He installed aux. reverse lights in order to blind people that are following him to closely

Well I gues you can speak on his behalf....I wanted to know if he was refering to the tailgaters (football, bbq, part) in the TW community or did he actually want to physically harm someone

    Pretty much stock
This is a good way for you to be lookin at some blue's in the rear view.

Rear facing white lights are illegal in most states. Not to mention your liability if you caused an accident.

But do what you like, all you need to do is power the lights with an aux. switch, quite simple.

wiring these lights up is not to harm no one. if you are tailgating someone, you are on the edge of doing harm to yourself and the car you are tailgating so thats the reason why i want this wired up to a switch to warn them to stay back.

I don't disagree with you, I'd love to be able to do this to tailgaters but it doesn't make it right. Sorry but I'm not going to help you do something stupid like that... Think about what you're doing, HIDs are extremely bright and you could end up causing a bad accident. Plus the small fact that what you're talking about is illegal.

i want it to be like a 3-way switch for a house. the Reverse Gear would be switch 1 and the AUX Switch would be switch 2. i could wire them up to a AUX switch itself but everytime i reverse then i'd have to flick the switch on. that'll be really annoying
