Painting My Center Console

Alright so tonight i decided to start taping things off for painting my center console tomorrow. After getting everything taken apart and prepped i wondered if i could drive with everything unplugged in the cab? Will i be ok if i dont plug anything back in and drive?​

I am interested in seeing it all painted. What paint are you planing on using.

I think it would be fine to drive with out it all there. Maybe tape up the loose connections so the terminal ends don't bounce around and make contact.

course you can. i did it for about a day. a/c / heater won't work obviously but you're good

Good job brother .... it is amazing what a litle paint can do. I did the same in July ..... wasn't really loving the silver SR5 look .... to me that (SR5) looks as if it came out of Autozone .... not that there is anything wrong with that.

 

yeah i wasnt a big fan either. The flat black looks really nice on there now

Dupli color vinyl and fabric flat black. Picked it up at Napa, it worked great and looks amazing. I can get some more pics tomorrow for ya

 

cool. is that dupli color like the krylon fusion where its made to bond to plastic?...I mean i assume you didn't have to do any sanding and primer correct? and since you used flat black....i also assume no clear right? think you inspired me to paint mine.
