just about to turn 1000mi on my 2011 tacoma and am going to start towing my trailer with 2 quads. total weight trailer and quads is around 1800 lbs. towed this all the time with my 04 tacoma, and would switch back and forth between od and drive depending on grade of road. I was wondering with my new truck 5 spd automatic & towing pkg. can I tow in OD or should I keep it in 4th maybe OD on level ground & downhill? thanks:confused:

I can't believe toyota didn't clarify that in the manual! My guess would be to leave it in 4.

I left mine in 4 when i was driving home from buying all this grass. I was so worried about my leaf springs popping or the automatic trans over heating! Ive never seen my rear end so low lol. There was probally about 90~ squares of grass back there. I know its nothing like towning, but it's been a while since ive had anything this heavy in the back.
