I've got the original prototype of the Tacoma Console Vault in my truck. :headbang: It's still one of the best things I've ever put in or on my truck!

    dealership

This is exactly what I use mine for. Whenever I get my truck serviced or washed I just put all of my valuables in the vault instead of lugging everything out with me.

I took the Tacoma in for service once (at a Toyota dealership) and afterwards, the service tech came up to me and asked where I got the lock box in the center console. He thought it was pretty cool. I said thanks, gave him the name of the company that made it and the entire time I was wondering...

WHY THE HELL WERE YOU LOOKING IN MY CENTER CONSOLE TO BEGIN WITH??? :smack:

How wide is this thing? Will it fit between the seats of a gen 1?

They are needed to keep the little net thingy from getting away.
My truck had it lifted when I bought it new!!!
They sent me a nice new one.
Great deal on a nice security box.
Piece of mind if you get broke into and they don't want the whole truck, just grabbing all the stuff inside.

If I owned a firearm and was not permited to bring it into a store I would feel much better leaving it in one of these instead of hiding it somewhere while I shopped.

It bolts down from the inside.

FYI - There's no way to secure the net inside the console vault. I was bummed to find this out but I gave my net away to another member here.
