To layman's eyes, would she even notice a leveled truck? Should have told her the truck needed new shocks instead of mentioning the 'lift'.

Its easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask permission ;)

I told my wife I am buying lift kit for my Taco. I told her she can be upset about it and mope about it or accept it. Since my wife is awesome and understanding she just said "ok honey" :D

If that doesn't work try re-flashing her ECU. There was a TSB for "nagging wife who bitches about modding your truck".

    Riiiiiiiight.

OP, you have a defective unit and should proceed to the wife store for a direct replacement.

On a serious note, the next time she wants/buys a pair of shoes you should bust out your own horror story on how bad they are and what happened to a "friends wife".

You could always meet up with a few Tacoma guys and gals in Calgary, there are a few of us floating around in Calgary http://www.ct4wd.com

You could just happen to end up at a location with lots of Tacomas and be like, "Wow honey, look at all those trucks, I wonder what those guys have done?" And she could see first hand that a 3" lift only makes the trucks look better :D

order the parts and have them sent to your local shop. then tell her you are going out to get an oil change and "voila" you have a level truck my friend. assuming you are only raising it 0.85 or 1.75 she probably won't even notice.

My wife hasn't noticed my 2.5" Billy/Eibach lift nor has mentioned anything about my N-Fab light bar up front. She did notice the sliders, weathertech mats and I'm sure she'll see the Lightforce lights when I get them (on order).

The AAL goes on this week, I'm sure she'll miss that as well.

I sure do Love my wife!!:D

I can't say enough good about putting 5100's on my Double-Cab 4X4 Sport short-bed. I can't imagine the ride and handling being any better.
