I'm leaning toward this one from ToyTec:

But then I found this Readylift SST from AutoAnything for the same money...

    http://www.autoanything.com/suspension-systems/61A4117A0A0A3025016.aspx

I know nothing about lift kits. I want to raise the ride height and gain some ground clearance but I'd like it to retain the stock ride as closely as possible. What do you guys think? Is one better than the other? Is the AAL better than the block in the rear? I plan on running the stock tires for now as they are brand new. This is for my '09 reg cab 4x4.

I would not go with either one. my theory is do it right the first time and never have to do it again.

I know that money is a factor too and mine lift setup was to expensive (but i don't regret it)

but i would suggest to stay away from spacer lifts...they kill your ride comfor and ur struts wear out much more

also stay away from blocks too...they kill the springs

i would replace the coil spring and go with ad a leafs for a cheaper alternative lift.

but ir ur willing to go a little depper in ur pocket.....

i would go with all pro full leafs from and coil-overs from either camburg or toytec

    but thats my opinion...good luck

i have those readylift spacers up front on mine. ride comfort is the same as stock and they give the truck a nice leveling up front. they only go up by 2.25 inches. although i am happy with them, if i had to do it again i would go full OME springs and bilstien 5100 on lowest setting up front to achieve a full 3 inch lift.

Thanks. That first kit with the replacement coils is only a little more expensive so it is do-able. Any other opinions?

you also hgave a double cab whick is much heavier than our truck....so there is a good chance he would get the full 3" of lift

Adjustable coil overs are the best choice in my humble opinion. And you can set the shocks at just about any height. Here is a pic of mine:

I don't doubt that they are the best, but I'm not willing to spend that much money.

honestly ....it worth saving your money for them if you can.....they will last a long time and they are rebuildable when time comes.

if you get spacers or coil spring...ur gonna have to pay someone to install they.......you need a tool to compress the spring and then down. the road ur gonna have to replace ur struts, they will wear out quicker.......and then ur gonna ahve pay labor again to remove them and install the new stuts.....and thats not even counting the price of the stuts

so in the long run...they are worth it....but its how much ur willing to save and think of the fact that u'll spend less money in future too.

and just out of curiousity.......do you have bucket seats of a bench.....it looks like from the other thread u posted in that u have buckets. i thought 2009 reg babs only came with bench seats.

and BTW......if that color was avail in 2008...thats what i would have went for

Yeah, there is a very fine line to walk there. The more money you spend, the better quality you get, the better ride, etc... A lot of people run spacer lifts and do just fine.

It's not completely necessary to lift the rear - just depends on how high you go in the front. For instance, I had the rear spring TSB done and it put my rear almost 3" higher than the front. So, when I lifted the front, it made it pretty much level. I am eventually going to lift the rear (within the next month), but it's not always NECESSARY...

And AALs are better than spacers in the back.

Not sure if you're talking to me or not...I have a bench seat (I'd prefer buckets but haven't done the research yet to see which ones will bolt right in).

    Oh Yeah!!!

How much did that cost you? Looking into that style setup, but still deciding between, Icon (expensive), Walker Evans, Sway Away, or ToyTech/Bilstein C/O set.
