Missing F-22 in Alaska

They just released the pilots name Capt. Jeffrey Haney. He is still missing..

 

dam, that night it happend, i heard low flying planes heading in that direction, very low flying C130's i think, i live on Beaver lake......that really sucks ass, praying for the pilots safety still.

 

wow I hope he is alive. really really hope he is.

Damn...I hate to hear stuff like this.

 

We have lost an Airman who is dearly missed by many, especially his family and friends. Please keep Capt. Jeff Haney's family in your thoughts and prayers. Words cannot begin to describe this, but as a fellow Airman of mine said, and though the words bring chills down my spine, I found these words to be true:

Well......that really sucks, God bless him and his family.

Certainly is a very dangerous profession.....even during time of peace.

 

I've served on a couple of recovery missions. They are not fun. My condolences to Capt Haney's loved ones. May they know that he died doing what he loved.

 

I hope they don't blame this on "condensation on flight critical circuit cards". I really wish the DOD would work better with the NTSB in crash investigations. Theres too much data being gathered by the DOD and NTSB thats not being compiled together to help prevent incidents like this.

 

When I read that he didn't make it I pictured the raptors flying in formation and one peeling away.....seeing that always makes me sad.

It reads like the weather was fine.

Being that he stayed with it, He probably had it saved, and then something zeroed out again, maybe inverted during those last critical low altitude seconds.

we will probably never know.

Sad to read.

Rest in peace Captain Haney, you will not be forgotten, and you will have saved many more lives.
