I'm planning on installing a 5 channel Kenwood XR5S under the seat (access cab) Any preferable seat for this install (drivers or passenger)

    Look at build!
its not really going to make a huge difference which one its under, just depends on what you might store under what seat ex: cd case, or whatever and which is easier for you to do!

There is a bar that needs to be removed and turned upside down under the passenger's seat. At least in my 09 Off-Road.

There is more 'room' under the driver's seat. I just installed a Pioneer 4-channel amp that is pretty large.

i have my 4 ch underneath passengers seat best way is to take out the seat, unscrew the cross bar, flip it upside down re screw it back on. Mount the amp where you want it and bolt the seat back in.

    thanks for all your responses
one more question, should the amp be mounted on a board, such as MDF
or can be screwed right into the floor or velcroed as someone suggest

I have an access cab too. Flip the bar under the passenger seat. Cut a piece of 1/2 or 3/4 MDF a tad smaller than the area under seat. Put this UNDER the carpet. Get the amp where you want it, and screw the amp to the MDF, sandwiching the carpet in between the amp and MDF. Mr. Marv taught me this trick, and I think it's a fantastic idea.

Thanks. They are awesome amps for under the seat due to the small footprints.
