If Im not mistaken there should be 5 bolts you need to unscrew then there is a 6th one that is just a phillips head and there will be a plastic clip underneath it that you can see but its part of the setup. After you unscrew all 6 from under the hood, it should pop right out or maybe with a little wiggle.

I believe its on the top towards the front of the hood. It is inside a small hole so you might need a flashlight to look for it but its there, trust me.;)

    Stock. Purchased 2/17/19. Cement!
FYI... When I removed mine, the bolt was not coming out. In fact, the bolt was spinning inside the hood scoop that eventually they came apart but the bolt would not come out through the sheet medal of the hood itself. Be careful. If you're having problems, then don't force it. I had to force the hood scoop over the bolt to pop it out. Then find other means of taking the bolt off. I wish I had pictures of my past headache. Sorry man.
When you go to pull out the little screw, don't lose the nut/clip (whatever it might be) behind it. If so, it will slide down the hood. You'll need a magnet of some sort to pull it out. Good luck.

And here's the final product. Didn't have any problems other than almost all the holes that the bolts threaded up into had stripped out. The fiberglass the scoop is made of seems really brittle so be careful if anybody does it. Just pulled all the bolts out of it, added some miracle jb weld in the holes and reinstalled the bolts and voila! Thanks to wwfirefighter for that phillips head tip, i would have never seen that and probably would have tore up all kinda s**t gettin it out:D.

You know you have really screwed somethin up when the hood is popped and you got out your dremel and a pop rivet gun. O, and since i'm so cool I can't figure out how to embed a video in the post here's a link to my lights runnin. Don't crack on my strobes, they actually to run in a pattern the camera just makes em look FUBAR cause the frame rate isn't fast enough.http://s891.photobucket.com/albums/ac114/coopdawg889/?action=view&current=DSCN1242.mp4

That's friggin cool. If I'd kept my scoop hood (and, oh yeah, joined a VFD) I'd totally do that.

You going to strobe your fogs too? That'd be cool if you could have them alternate, ie Left fog/right headlight, then right fog/left headlight.

You do all the work yourself, or just have the department mechanics fiddle with it?

Legalities, schmegalities. I had strobes before I ever even thought about getting on the FD. I'm probably wrong but if i'm not bad mistaken you can run ambers without a Emergency Lighting License.

I'm probably gonna strobe those out too at some point, just not now cause of funds:(. But yeah I did all the work myself. I love messin with this kind of crap. I'm a FD junkie. Anytime I see flashing lights I start drooling and debating whether or not to follow them:D. My girlfriend is all the time gettin on to me sayin i'm gonna run in the ditch staring. HAHA............maybe
