Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself.

I joined this forum to learn about what parts are good for the Tacoma. Just this morning my dad asked me to look for a good intake for his truck and I thought to myself, what a better way to look for good parts than to join a Tacoma forum. Hopefully I can snoop around here and find some good reviews on parts, so I can buy them for my dad. He has a 2008 Tacoma.

As for myself, my first "Tacoma" was actually a 94 or 95, I can't remember what year exactly, DX. I loved that truck to death, and it had an extra cab for more passengers (excuse my poor truck vocabulary, I'm new to the truck scene). But due to some unfortunate events, it was totaled. Just last month I bought a 2001 Tacoma in great condition. Its only a 2 seater, technically a 3 seater but super uncomfortable, but I do love this truck. Reminds me of the DX I used to have.

I would love to mod my Tacoma to make it more fuel efficient. Thats pretty much my goal for modding. But for my dad, I'm pretty sure he'd want more power (as he was looking for a CAI [cold air intake]). I took my dad's car out for a spin, and that thing is monstrous. Pretty damn fast for a huge car. But his Tacoma doesn't beat my Evo. :D Its okay though, he loves his weekend warrior, and I love mine.

Here is a picture of my weekend warrior, and when I get the chance, I'll snap a shot of his weekend warrior as well. I'll try to get a picture of my 2001 Tacoma as well. So to pretty much sum it up, hopefully I can get a list of good parts to buy for my dad for his birthday, Fathers day, etc. Hope to make new friends on this board as well!

Thanks for the tips! I was reading up on some of those intakes and noticed that some of them make the car run really rich? So does that mean that there are ECU flashes for Tacomas?

Get one man! You'll love it!

    Thanks man! :D

So far I just have my full 3" exhaust and my ignition amplifier installed. I have more mods to install (intake, voltage stabilizer, fuel pump, 1000cc injectors, 02 housing, lower intercooler pipe) but I'll take my time in installing those. I'm hoping after I install these parts, I can have about 320WHP.
