What is the best way to cut the Mud flaps?!

Hey guys, I am sick and tired of hearing my front mud flaps scraping everday when I drop my kids off school (road bumper)
What is the best way to cut them?? that will look nice and clean, offcourse.

I'm sure a sharp set of scissors or a good razor blade will do. The razor works well on the fenders and it's the same material so it should work well on the flaps. I've even heard of people heating the blade so it goes through like butter.

 

I used a cutting wheel on a dremal, then filed and sanded the edge.

It looks like the tin snips is the best way to go. This is my next mod also!

Tin snips with a hair dryer = butter I also used a dremel to smooth everything out. After 2 days I said eff it and just took em off though lol

 

The best way I found was to completely remove them and put them in the trash.

 

Replace them with flaps off an '05, there shorter. Also it keeps the little lip on the bottom that they are molded with so they stay stronger.

 

and this is why im skeered to cut mine. they sure look like a nba player in a kentuky derby locker room

I tin snipped mine also.

 

Tin snips. I made a template out of cardboard when I chopped the first one, then flipped the template and used it to cut the other. That way they both had the same contour, and same length.

 

Used the tin snip method on mine.

 

i took them off marked them, then used an air saw to cut them, then a sander to round off the corners and finally a razor blade to make the edges nice.

 

x10 tin snips w/metal file and sandpaper. I cut mine in-place.
