Tire feedback please?

Does anyone have any feedback on these low profile performance tires?

General Grabber UHP

These 36k mi performance tires got rated an 8.5 at tirerack.com
They are "H" speed rated shoes, and get "A" marks for both traction and temp, and cost a meager $119.00 ea.

Oh, now I get it...This is a "TRUCK" forum. My apologies for the post that was apparently outside of the "forum scope". I did not mean to tread on your sensibilities.
Believe it or not fellas, some guys buy trucks because they are just great to have as a, homeowner. I use mine as a utility vehicle; for the trips to Lowes, Home Depot, Costco... This same truck also seconds as a daily driver, back and forth to work.
Based upon this use, why not look for a lower profile (less sidewall flex), performance tire as a competent choice for Socal streets & freeways?
No, I will not be climbing or launching from rock formations.
Perhaps I should have mentioned the "intended use" in my origina post?
I guess I should be thankful you didnt jump up and down on me.

That being said, anytime you ask a question about how a set of tires are, you are just going to get people saying "well those are okay, but you should get xx brand of tire, that's what I have". I'd just use tire rack's ratings to compare different brands.

I just put those tires (in an appropriate size) on my 2006 miata. They work great on the miata but ............

i highly recommend these tires. i had a set of 285/50/20 on my titan. they are very grippy and are great in the rain. best bang for your buck for a performance tire. you wont be dissapointed.

i got about 25k miles off them, but worth it.

Based upon the wear being significantly less than 36K mi. I think I'll look in another direction. No doubt those are competent street tires, which in turn must sacrifice wear characteristics.
Thanks again for saving me from changing tires in a couple of years.

Ummm..My Hemi Ram came with the factory 20's. These tires were on there when I got it. They wernt too bad. Better than the wrangler hp's.

i do have to add, however, that the weight of the titan is significantly more than a tacoma. also, the 285/50/20's were not as tall as the stock tires so they had more revolutions per mile, which in turn wears faster.

you may get better life out of them on the tacoma with about the same height as stock.

 

I ended with Bridgestone - Dueler H/T 840 from Costco. They had a $70 rebate, and were an acceptable Socal street tire. Thanks for all those who had anything constructive to say.
