3" Revtek Lift w/ 285/R16/75-photos

Anyone have this exact setup on a 2009 access cab?? Thinking of going this route.

Well you dont seem to be getting much feedback off this so heres my truck.
3" Revtech, Pro Comp 7089 wrapped in 285\70-17 BFG KM2s!

 

sick setup. how are the km2's for all around driving?

 

There not bad AT ALL! On the highway you can hear them a bit but if you drive with the stock radio cranked at 25 or higher than you wont hear a thing..

I love em! I wouldn't of picked anything other than these KM2s!

 

how's your gas mileage with those tires?

 

I have a 3 in revtech lift with 285/70/r17 I get a lot of compliments. Its not to big not to small it looks great i love my set up.

your truck looks great!! i hav an 2011 trd sport and hav a 3" ready lift on the way as i speak. i hope in the next couple weeks ill have some pics on here to share with you tacoma owners.

 

Smenglish - can you post some pics to this link? I was looking at the ready lift option as well. I have an 09 DC long bed and want a lift to give my truck a taller stance! Is the dealership installing that? I know that is offered where I am at....price is 299 plus 3 hrs of labor...all in all about 735 out the door.

I have a 2009 TRD Off Road Package with 265/70-16 If I put a 3" lift on this truck what is the biggest tire I can use without modifications to the wheel well? Any suggestions on tire sizes?

 

265/75R16.

That's probably not the answer you were looking for.

But the typical tire size for a 3" lift is 285/75R16, and that inevitably requires taking an Xacto knife to the plastic of the inner fender well. (I'm sure the two guys who didn't have to do any trimming will chime in here, but pretty much all the rest of us have had to do so.)

Cab mount chop is hit or miss. The harder you wheel it, the more likely you are to need that additional modification.

 

I didn't have to chop shit off the wheel well. It rubs every now and then but no big deal

 

There you go. Rubbing or trimming, it's your choice.

 

Thanks Bjmoose- How much trimming are we talking about? if it is a small amount Im Ok with it but I dont want to chop away on the truck. If I were to put 265/75-16 I could do that without a lift, right? Im simply trying to get a more agggressive tire on the truck for the looks, Im not really going to do much (if any) off roading. It seems the the bigger the tire the more selection.

 

jstreetS-soon as i put the lift on ill post pics, me and a friend are putting the 3"ready lift on my '11 tacoma. the lift i got is round 359$ cant wait to get it. they told me it was on backorder. sending it this week.
