Weathertechs, Avid bolt-on sliders and light bar, 17" ATX Thug wheels, BF Goodrich AT 285/70/17 tires, Icom 2820 Dstar radio, OME 3" lift, color matched rear bumper and Grillecraft grille, Wet Okole seat covers, ARM bed extender, black badges, Sockmonkey decals, HID headlight and foglights, TRD cat back exhaust, TRD CAI, URD MAF calibrator, Kenwood 6960 HU, Image Dynamic front and back speakers, ARC Audio Sub in Mr. Marv custom sub box and amp rack, Tuffy security box for bed.
My sliders stick out beyond the body...cars opening their doors will hit my slider not my truck. Here are three photos showing how/where they bolt on. They bolt into the factory holes where steps would be mounted...If it's for trail protection I'd get the weld ons but if it's for looks, protection from door dings and use as a step I think the bolt-ons are great.

You can also get bolt on ones that go to the frame. They can be just as strong as welded on sliders...

Shrockworks. Got them and really love them.
Only negative thing is the wait time. It took about 2 months for me but I'm in canada. But I'd do it over again in a second.

My dad is a retired welder with over 30 years experience and said these things are well made

Just to be clear, yours are not "bolt-ons" in the traditional sense of sliders. Bolt-on sliders attach to the frame. I agree with your rationale though.

I honestly think all of the quality sliders (CBI, Demello, Relentless and the new AllPros) are good. It's who you want to give your money to and who's style you like best.

I went with the AllPros. Sorry for flaunting the pics, but I want to make sure people see the quality. I powdercoated mine to match my bumpers. Diehards will advise weld-on & rattlecan, but these exceed my needs.

check my sig for mod list and build thread
^ does anyone in here know if the allpro bolt ons will help in both of these scenarios?

i plan on buying a set around March but live in an apt complex where door dings are all too common. with a lift, using a high lift on the sliders would make short work of any tire changing issues i may run into.

I don't know if I would buy their older sliders, but I would jump on all-pro lt if I had a second gen after that
