Tacoma with some stuff melted to it
Plus IF it is soft or muddy the diesel will sink. I cant even count how many times ive seen jacked up 4x4 diesels buried to the axles in the sand. So if we are gonna race lets make it fair and put truck where they are supposed to be, off road

sadly, I've only put Husky Liners in it thus far - tend to blow all my cash on my bikes and guitars.
Ok, first and foremost......I learned the hardway here about everyone's opinion on racing these trucks with my very first post, but I CAN tell you that a full-sized, small blocked Chevy ( 350 ) automatic will lose to a bone stock 4.0L Taco DC 4x4 automatic -- but I'll NEVER say again how I know this ;).
I'd search the web on factory equipped 1/4 mile times and just base your comparison that way

f250, 150 has no bearing on speed, it's what's under the hood, power to weight ratio, final drive ratio bla bla bla. I saw a commercial ford f250 with a tool bed that had a 4 banger in it. It threw a rod carrying a roll of landscape fabric.

[IMG]Close race for me, The 7.3 Powerstroke had enough torque to reverse the rotation of the earth! But my Pre runner is fast as hell. Both trucks are what they are and both are great rigs.

Put them both at altitude and the diesel's turbo will help it wipe the Taco right off the mountain.

The diesel will also have a higher top speed than the Taco at any altitude.

    I don't really care which is faster...you can't deny that 800 ft/lbs of torque is awesome. And Taco's don't roll coal... :D
