I recently purchased WeatherTech floor liners for my 2009 4x4 access cab. The rear liner is not designed to fit a truck with a center console as the spacing in the center of the liner (the part that fits over the 'hump') is 14 inches, while Canadian Tacoma access cabs have a 10 inch spacing. Rightfully so, the website offers the following caveat:

"Rear liner will not fit with optional center storage box/console."

The problem here is, the center console is standard in Canada and the liner will not fit unless you are prepared to wipe the turkey off of your carving knife and get artistic. A telephone conversation with the customer service department yielded a refund offer which I turned down. I felt disappointed given the product's reputation and price ($240 tax in). I have never visited this forum before today and I'm posting here as a head's up to anyone else considering floor liners from WeatherTech.

I found the same thing. I just ended up trimming it and it works perfectly.

Also, the driver's side front floor liner needs to be trimmed if you have a manual transmission.

I agree, it is disappointing that they haven't molded for these two options yet. At this point, they probably never will.

I pulled out the box(4 screws) put the liner under it and put the box back and used 2 screws to hold it there. Some of the guys put holes in the liner to use all 4.

You can un-bolt the console cut 2 holes where the bolts that held the console go through then put down the mat and reinstall console. Fits just fine without butchering the mat.

Thanks for the heads up :).

But from what I've seen, WeatherTech's are really nice liners. I know it sucks that it doesn't fit with your center console, but if the website CLEARLY warned you, and then WeatherTech STILL offers a full refund... How can you be disappointed in their "reputation and price"?

10 minutes to pull the box out, drill three holes in the mat, and re-install the box. Looks perfect. The one minor issue is you can't pull the mat out to clean easily, you would need to perform the same 10 minute procedure.

I just ordered my WeatherTechs and will be drilling holes to fit the console over it. I don't think it will be a big deal cleaning the mat because no one will ever sit back there. If they do get dirty I'm sure it can easily be cleaned with a damp cloth.
