BHLM is available from the dealer? pic inside

I was at the dealer for service last weekend and the pimped Tacoma in the showroom had BHLM. Is that an option from the dealer?

 

and how much are they charging for that?

 

Standard equipment on '09, '10 and '11 TRD packages

 

might be a used taco, bcuz of the wheels and tires, plus of the BHLM.....but some dealerships mod some cars so it will sell quicker......i remember i looka ta a frontier that was new and it had aftermarket wheels and tires, lift, and flowmaster (i think).......

but i dont think that they actually offer a BHLM, i know that some new TRD's have the smoked lights, but the actual housing is not black......

Probably bought off fleabay anyways.

Or a local dude did it for them, my dealer asked if I could make them a couple satoshi grilles, I declined.

They changed this on the most recent years. It's now available from the factory.

My 2010 trd sport came with the BHLM.

 

It's factory on the newer trucks, but I'm not sure if it's only on TRDs, etc. My 2010 TRD OR has them and on the sticker it was called "Smoked Headlamp Trim" or something similar.

Not exactly like BHLM...more of a mirrored/anthracite color like some of the rims you see.

theres a difference between BHLM and the glossy black chromy look from the factory TRD models for 2010

 

I'm 90% sure that those are not the "smoked headlights" with the newer models, those are either the ebay ones or someone did the BHLM...

 

Toyota must have paid attention to the forums.

 

Can't really tell from the lighting in your pic. '09+ TRDs (both OR and Sport) come with "smoked" headlight surrounds. See my pic:



The SEMA 2007 TRD X-Runner had matte black BHLM, so Toyota surely was aware of this mod.

 

Those are the factory smoked headlights now present on 09+ TRD trucks.

In dim light they look like BHLM. In bright light they look like this:



Not nearly as dramatic, eh?

Besides, they don't solve the main problem that the BHLM fixes, which is the removal of the goddamn orange lenses that screw up everything about these headlights. BHLM without clear cornering is a waste of time, aesthetically speaking.
