    I saw this mod yesterday on Lifehacker. Some of the commenters had a good point: once you throw 3 $5 3V lithium ion batteries in that thing it's not a $10 hack any more.

    Food for thought. And why didn't they compare it to those cheap LED lights you can get for free at Harbor Freight?

    Still pretty inventive.
