I'm thinking of picking up a set of ProComps. Does anyone know where is the best place to buy them?

I want to run my stock tires (265/70/16) on them but don't know the specs that I should buy. Anyone help? I'm thinking 16x8 (what about backspacing?)

    Thanks

    Edwin

Engage Offroad long travel front and rear with some fat tires.
try Wheelers offroad for the alloy... they are 1069s i think and pretty much guaranteed fit for a first gen...

most pro comp wheels that fit 6 on 5.5 are 4-4.5in back spacing for 16in wheels

    Listed in sig.......
if you want them to stick out the same amount as your stockers youll want to go with 4.5'' BS. the less backspacing you have the more theyll stick out.

    04 Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab SAW 2.0's Alcan's Ion 171 wheels 15x8 (-27mm bs) 32" BFG AT's

i don't think you'll find that wheel in anything less than 4.0. ...i ran that exact wheel on my last tacoma and looked all over the place for 3.5, 3.75 or 3.25 and couldn't find anything. ended up going with the 4.0 and it was ok ..but the tires didn't really stick out much since i was only running a 10.5" wide tire. ...that's the main reason i went back to 15" wheels on my current taco ....i love the 32/11.50/15 size tire. ..it's an oddball size but, in my opinion, they are perfect for the 1st gen taco. ...imo, the 285/75/16's are just too much tire unless you want to regear. ...and i didn't want to fuck with all that as this is my daily driver.

I have the procomp 1069's with 265-75/16's. The procomps have 4" backspacing and they tires stick out 3/4" from the factory flares. No wheel spacers.

Note: You will have to modify the center caps on the procomps. There is a tight fit between the rim opening and the factory hub lip and I had to score each cap several times to get it to fit and it was still a bitch. Of course, you will need new lug nuts as well.

    sorry not a better pic available:[IMG] IMG_0261_da2584d91ee046718dda15cf13c073414b8bfd68.jpg

4 wheel parts price matched the lowest number i found for my 8069s. instead of ordering online, give one of their sales reps a call. mine hooked me up with the shipping also.... saved some $$$

will running 265/70/16 mess up my truck? I bought the truck with those tires on... I hope not. I'm assuming I would get the 16x8?

Truck looks great! Mine is EXACTLY the same... thanks for giving me a visual of what it will look like.

    Got it...thanks. I'll call them.
