The reason I am asking on here and not on AK47.net is that AK47.net is blocked here at work. I guess I will wait till later tonight to ask that forum what they think.

May I recommend a PTR32. I own one and it's a fantastic weapon. It's a lot more smooth than an AK and it shoots the same cheap round. You can go to
http://www.ptr91.com/ and check them out... pretty nice rifle. And you can also buy it at budsgunshop.com or CDNN if you want it cheap.

I have a FEG SA 2000 that i bought a few years ago. It's a hungarian made AK, and I have never had any problems with it. We made a 12"x18" swinging target that we set out at 100 yards when we go shooting and the gun is accurate enough for me to hit it every time with open sights, and I don't claim to be the best shot. I wouldn't hesitate to use it to shoot hogs out to about 100 yards. I looked once before and Cor-Bon was making a hunting round in 7.62x39. You might want to check them out for some better hunting loads rather than just the jacketed rounds from wolf.

personally if i was you i'd just buy a AK74 cause you can buy 1080rds for $120, it's cheap as hell to shoot and that little 5.45x39 round is a wicked sob and very accurate, as soon as it touches anything the long bullet looses it's ballance and starts tumbling, i rarely shoot my 47 now that i have the 74
