Just wondering if a 3.4l with a supercharger is enough motor to turn 40" tires if it's gear right. Thanks.

I'm thinking 14 bolt rear end and either dana 50 or 60 front depending on tire size with 5.13's. I want heavy axles for when I add ARB lockers. Just dont wanna swap motors if I dont have to.

Holy Bejesus.... is this all going on your Prerunner?

    What's the vehicle in question?

Are 40" tires legal in Mississippi?

Good choice with going with BIG axles because you'll want the teeth on the ring gear to have some girth(thickness) to them!

    Just messing with ya....

Definatly not gonna appeal to the West Coast go fast crowd... Needs LT arms coil overs with ressys and bump cans.

So what are you trying to achieve with all of this? Do you want a rock crawling rig? Cool lookin mall crawler? Or just a sas yota?
If you plan on wheeling and money allows it I would look into getting 1 tons front and rear. I doubt a 14 bolt with 40" tires will last long if you wheel it hard!

And as for coils or leafs. It depends on what you want to do with it. If you gonna wheel it and not drive the road much then build a 4 link with coil springs for it. If your gonna drive alot on the roads then probably leaf springs.

Hopefully this helps a little bit! I've always wanted to build a taco on 1 tons for rock crawlin!

LOL... D50 is junk. D44 inners but d60 outers? How retarded. Don't waste your money. Get a d60 and get over it. 14 bolt is a pile unless you shave it... and then you're weekening it, it sits so damn low. Get a d60 rear or a D70u. Seriously.

Just because you have arb lockers doesn't mean you have to have strong axles. Plenty people run ARB on D30's.. or even toy axles.

Also, doesn't matter on the motor, it's the gear ratio. Get a crawl box and low gears, IIRC lowest gear you can go with a d60 is 5.86s. Oh and D70 goes to like...7.17's :D

This defiantly wont be a DD. Just for mud riding which gets pretty serious here in Mississippi. As you can imagine we dont have many rocks. I can get a Sterling 10.25 for cheap but are they worth anything?
