Powered by one tailgate mounted CFM56–7 engine. The engine is a dual–rotor, axial–flow turbofan engine capable of producing 27,000lbs of thrust. Why yes, my tailgate is slightly bowed in.

would it count if someone died and I knowingly ignored it? I do work with some living dead.
Actually, working for the government, its happened probably 10 times in my career. Probably about 6-7 of those were people that died in the parking lot during lunch. And at least one was a suicide. No one noticed the dead guys in cars till the end of work and the parking lot was left with an extra car not leaving. People noticed the guy putting a hole in his chest with a revolver.

    Department of Defense.
    Where the obese roam.
Air intelligence agency head quarters. FULL of fatties and I don't mean "jolly" I mean, can't talk while walking to their cars because they're out of breath. Morbidly obese. Its probably why the earth wobbles. On top of that, many if not most are in their second career, after retiring from the military, fairly old.
Though the suicides were army guys.

I was on vacation for the last 3 weeks. Only had to attend 2 staff meetings and entertain 2 groups of VIPs.

I would not be surprised if this was more frequent because working for the government, whether federal, state, county or local means little work gets done anyway, let alone accountability. [jk, well maybe not completely] :p

For me, it depends how quickly after I keeled someone needed help with the computer systems.

    ABSOLUTELY!

I can't speak to state and local, but man, federal. There's people that are busy, but work isn't getting done. I've been "productive" and nothing comes of it. I stopped working for a quarter, no one noticed. Currently I've got a job where I'm more or less on call. Feet on the desk for weeks at a time, followed by running around for a couple days.

It's the most productive office I've ever been in. Difference between me and my peers... I know what I'm accomplishing.

Seriously. I mean, I win awards doing what I do. I get promoted. I get certificates of appreciation and recognition, and I seriously do nearly nothing compared to someone that has to turn a profit. I mean, i'm a bit known as someone you don't put in front of the director, as I'll say what needs to be said. But I get along pretty well within the organization.

Yeah, they would notice within about an hour if I died at my desk. I'm a dispatcher, so if I didn't answer when they called they would come check on me.
We say all the time that someone is going to pass away here at work, most here are fairly old, and we would notice in at most a couple hours when we hadn't heard from them on the radio or seen them. Also we all clock out together, so if someone was missing we'd know.

That story is really sad, how many people walked by and didn't even notice her there :(.
