I've been checking into a 2nd gen. DC Tacoma, in order to get some more room...don't really have any family (other than two small dogs) to put back there, but thought the extra doors would be nice, plus the ride and room seems better...problem is, I have no issues with my current 02 TRD Extended Cab 4x4...other than the recall for the lower ball joints, all I have done is change the oil, plus I put new Alcan springs on the rear just 'cause I noticed the stockers sagging a bit. My 02 Tacoma has 31,950 miles...Am I crazy to want a 2nd gen???

Yes. That's a gorgeous truck with practically no miles.

I'd keep that truck and buy a sedan if I needed 4 doors.

Keep it and use the money you'd have spent "upgrading" to get yourself another 1st gen, make the new one an off-road beast!

Dude that is a beautiful truck! I was actually looking for a 1st gen like that when I bought the new one. You would be an idiot to sell!

    I think I'm seeing a trend here...;)

Seriously, with all that encouragement, from both 1st and 2nd gen current owners, I can take a hint, I'll leave well enough alone. I have to say, this truck is probably going to outlast me at the rate I'm putting miles on her...

    Thanks for all the input.

Bailey seems to be enjoying the Tacoma as is...
