Got the 2.75" Fat Bob's Garage front spacers in today. Did myself with a buddy of mine in the garage. Started at noon finish at 3:30. Wasn't fun and had to make a few phone calls to the Fat Bob's but I'm happy with how it all turned out. As you can kinda see I sit a little ass heavy like I thought so now I'm ordering the 1" rear block to do next weekend. Definitely tell a huge difference driving, not so much when looking at it...

looks good except on the rear, those tires and rims look pretty good. when i get my lift on i may have to just keep my rims and put some bigger tires on them.

keeping the rims definitely saves money. Or you can do what I did and get 10 bucks worth of spray paint and paint em :) But yeah this week is gonna suck driving around like this.

I wouldn't call them problems, more concerns I guess. We had to cut one of the bolts on top of the strut so it wouldn't stick up from the top of the spacer (don't believe it was in the instructions) and we had to rotate the strut 180, making it so the brake line mount was between the bump stops, so we bent it out of the way. Now the brake cable is loose, but it appears to be fine.

Also, after attaching everything back together the A arm was between the coil, making it so the A arm was in full contact of the coil which is no bueno, so I was convinced that I was sent the wrong lift after ordering over the phone. So I called Fat Bob's and the guy pretty much told me to keep going and that I was doing it right and to just complete the other side and drop it off the jack. So I did and what do you know, it's fine and everything turned out fine.

It's not too hard as long as you have two people and at least one who knows what he/she is doing. FYI: the directions that come with it are for the 6 lug, so it will kind of throw you off

ehhh not really. Just have a good set of sockets and tools and such. The friend that I did it with is basically a mechanic and did the same thing on his nissan so he had some experience. He said it was extremely easier than his nissan though. Just have someone to help and maybe someone who's kind of familiar with that kind of stuff. If you aren't already yourself of course.

Glad we did it though and not my local performance truck shop. Saved $250

Umm... You can't get rear blocks... They don't work for SUA. Your only option of raising the rear is AAL....

i noticed this too when mine came. so i went and downloaded the readylift instructions from their site. the steps are identical for both the readylift and fat bob's. i also watched the readylift youtube video a few times before i started. plus i had it ready to go on my phone and did end up using it once.

SUA? And I'll double check. Not saying you are wrong, but I do believe Fat Bob's makes a block. Local truck shop and les schwab said they have the blocks. But I'll double check because I really haven't done much looking around yet

yup all 5-luggers are SUA (spring under axle) so any separation of the springs and the axel would actually cause a drop and not a lift.

welcome. thats one of the reasons 5-luggers are so commonly lowered. i am looking into it but i think a shackle flip kit made for 6-luggers will work for our trucks as well. on a related note installing a longer shackle with the stock hangers will actually lower the truck as well. once i find a manufacturer that will send me a discounted/sample/test kit i will post my results on this thread and the other thread that i have going. i have a meet this weekend and i am going to gather some measurements from 6-luggers to see if they match our style of truck.

Ezriderga, what wheels and tires are you running? I know your signature says enkei, but there are a lot of enkeis out there. I like your set-up.

    Hi:
I'm New to Toyota and have the 5lug.
I was wandering if anybody has thought of putting the leaf spring on top of the differential you just have to remove the bracket and welded on top. This probably Give like 3" on the back.

    Any Thoughts on this?
