Would like to get some input on what is the best color match to the factory silver color (silver streak mica 1E7). I want to color match a few parts on my Taco but did not know what is the best way to go? Also what gives the same paint texture? I was thinking of two places to order from:
    http://www.automotivetouchup.com/
    or
    http://www.paintscratch.com/

I would want to get the spary can color (base coat) and the spary clear coat. what have you guys used? any help or suggestions would be nice. Thanks

I got the spray can and a bottle with a brush from automotivetouchup.com a while back. I used the color match spray to do my metalmiller emblem in SSM and have used the bottle with the brush to touch up some rock chips on the hood to keep them from rusting. The color isn't a perfect match but you'll probably never be able to blend a perfect match. It did the job and wasn't expensive IIRC.

I haven't tried paintscratch but automotivetouchup is great. Perfect match on my MGM.

I think the other one is spraycansunlimited.

I'd try the cheap duplicolor first, if that isn't close enough for your eye, then go with the more expensive options.

If you go online, I'd recommend paintscratch.com. Their customer service is great! They weren't able to get the superwhite dead on but they sent me a few different batches trying before I finally gave up. They send a paint card so if it doesn't match, you just mail the card back with a sample of the paint and they give you another batch for free.

Gotcha. I may have to try that one, I haven't found anyone that can match the superwhite yet.

I would like to get some more votes the two places that I am looking at to purchase the paint. If you have any pics to post of your results please do, maybe next to the factory paint job to see how close the color match is. Its spendy for the spray cans just wanted to get it right the first time or as close to. Thanks again.

I went and picked up some duplicolor (SSM 1E7) and did some test coats on scrap metal, it looks fairly close. Did you all use the clear coat and if so how many coats? any pics yet of results? not sure at this point if the $20-25 cans of factory match paint from the online retailers are worth it?

Pepboys sells the Dulpicolor cans for about $6.

I color matched my chrome grill surround with silver streak mica and it is a perfect match.

I am about to lay down the cheap duplicolor stuff. If anyone could post up a few pics of how there color match turned out that would be cool. I am fairly anal so I am a little timid of painting my self. Just wanted to see some of your results. Thanks everyone in advance.
