And this is how the spring perch is supposed to look. For future reference for someone else trying not to make the same mistake that was made on my truck!

I'm having 5100's and an Icon AAL installed right now. I have a 2006 Prerunner Tacoma access cab, 2wd, TRD off road model. I'm re-using the stock coils. Downsouth Motor Sports recommended setting the height of the front shocks at 1.75, but the guy doing it wants to set it at 2.5 or something... which is it so I can call him and get it right the first time???

Give 'em a few weeks and they will soften.
Mine were the same way, and the other day I notice that they have soften up and I hit ruts and wash boards that are smoother or softer.

    So give it some time.

And of course ProEFX Towing Mirrors!

The Icon AAL says it gives you 1.5" of lift. If you have the TSB springs I would go with the 2.5" but if you have the standard 3 leaf pack I would say set them at 1.75". But it's all up to you.

My Icon 3 leaf AAL was supposed to give me 1.5" of lift, but it actually raised the rear of my truck 2 3/8". I guess it was because my factory leafs had 88,000 miles on them. I've put 3000 miles on them and they haven't settled yet. My front is set at 2.5" and I have about 1 1/4" of rake, with the back sitting higher. Stance is perfect for me.

The suspension shop set them at 2.0 and my truck rides beautifully. I never had any issues with the rear springs so I didn't even know about a factory spring TSB. Icon said I could install the AAL with or without the stock overload leaf. I wanted a more comfortable ride so we removed it. I have 65,000 miles on the truck and was feeling vibration in the wheel on certain kinds of roads. Now, it feels like a new truck!!! Hopefully, the change won't effect towing my boat or car trailer... I'm towing my off road vehicle to San Felipe for the 250 race this next weekend , so I'll report back when I get home...
