Just had my leer 100xr topper installed on my dcsb today. I can tell right away, the ride has changed.
I called up the local dealer, and asked to talk to service. Explained to the tech what was going on, and he keep saying "you cant go back, you have to keep it loaded now, yada yada"
So for all of you out there who have a topper, and have done the tsb, how is it? I cannot imagine it being a bad thing, to have more capable, and better riding springs. I have searched around, and really found little saying in any way, shape, or form, the tsb is a bad thing.

Thanks for the replies. I do love my Tacoma. I'll post up pics with the topper on tomorrow, but for now,

so from what i can gather from those posts, the nice supple, almost car like ride that came from the factory, and was enhanced further by the topper, will finally feel like a truck.
I don't see how thats a bad thing.

It's not . My truck , and all the Canadian trucks come stock with the " TSB " 4 leaf pack from the factory , I can't imagine having one LESS leaf , I'm going to replace my leaf pack with the Dakars .

Anyone ever mention why they do that? Is it for snow load?

Yea. The stock springs are weak, I took off my top till A: I get my truck back and B: till I get air bags. Back end already skitters on rough stuff don't want it any stiffer, but need some extra weight control on occasion.

When we buy a truck , we expect a truck and not a car shaped like a truck .

And with the extra leaf they can charge us an extra $7000

Op, describe the ride change. I plan on getting the Leer topper my self. I am out of warranty so I can't have the TSB spring done. How bad is the ride quality? How much does Leer Cap weigh? I've had 240lbs of sandbad in the bed and it rode pretty ok but felt different.

Michelin 265/75/16 MS2's, Grillcraft MX series/TOYOTA badging. FJ/SE TRD Anthracite gray wheels. Katzkin leather/heated seats.
ARE "Z" series topper 190 lbs. Toyota would not do the rear leaf TSB for me. So I had the dealer add the Toytec 1.5 AAL. I pull a pontoon boat with no rear sag at all. The ride is great.

Not trying to high jack the tread, just offering another option.

I don't have a canopy on my truck but I love the TSB Springs. I don't regret it a bit.

Yea. the tsb aught go on for me tomorrow. The suspension feels a little less planted, more washy now that the topper is on. could be all in my head, but given im gonna be using this thing, to tow, and fully loaded soon, I figure it can't hurt to have it done.
