    I am looking into purchasing an air intake for my Tacoma but I dont know what to buy. Do you guys have any suggestions? Which brand will give me the most horsepower? Best Quality overall?

    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    The deckplates pretty much only effective on the first gens isn't it

    I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
    Yeah man do the deck plate mod its way better then the aftermarket intakes. I have the K&N CAI and I wish I did the deck plate mod. If I could sell it and go back to stock I would but I sold my stock air box.

    02 ext cab cat-back exhaust, k&n replacement filter, 5100 billy's, hellcreek 1.5" rear spring packs, 882 OME coils, Toytec 2" AAl, stainless brake lines, Light Racing UCA, 1" diff drop, BPV bracket, 4" deck plate mod, 886 fog light backup light mod, tom woods one piece drive shaft, spider trax 1.25 spacer.
    no deckplate mod works pretty much the same for 1st and 2nd gens.

    i got the 67 dollar intake from ebay and love it it really made a difference its just loud

    I did the deckplate mod and dropped a k&n in there. Gotta love that growl with the deckplate.

    Hey guys you got any pics? i'm thinking about changing my air intake but i also don't know what to buy. Is the cone filter from K&N a cold air intake? or is it just a high flow intake?

    I have the deck plate mod with a airraid intake tube, it does the job.

    Also while you are doing the deck plate mod, you might as well get the elbow mod done.

    deckplate and trueflow, but i'm not sure they're made anymore. got mine from jason at burtman industries.
