ok so i wanted a 10inch sub in my 08 access cab with out giving up a ton of space so heres the prototype

this should fit behind the center counsel with the speaker or in the pic the black circle lol faceing the center counsel it would allow access to the tool boxs under the rear seats and leave room for the rear passagers.

obviously the prototype is made out of cardboard and i still need to test fit it once i do i will add another picture so you guys have an idea how it would look and fit in the truck. if all goes as planned i will atleast have the box built this weekend. now being able to afford the sub and amp is a whole different story.

heres picture of the prototype in the truck. i had to cut about a 1/4 inch off the back(after the pics) then it fit perfect, so should be picking up a sub and wood tomorrow so i can hopefull i can knock this out.

and look full access to the under seat boxs !!!!!

as a side note im sure this box will not give u max performance of the speaker but should work for me to add some bass in my truck.

quick pics of the final product

I can't see from the pic but you have to make sure that the sub has enough room to reach full excursion without hitting the center consul. Nice idea

Maybe make it angle back a little more to make sure there's enough room?

first off yes its a glow in the dark frisbee i have had that in the back on my truck since i got it and have gotten my money's worth out of it lol.

there is enough room that i can fit my hand between the center counsel and the box idk if that is enough room for full excursion. any idea how much room that requires. i also might be able to mount the sub from behind the face of the box to give me alittle more space if needed. just throwing ideas out there

Blacked out front grill, tinted windows,Crazy Sound-system, Fog-Light Mod, Smoked Tail lights, De-badged except for "Tacoma" emblems, which are blacked out, WeatherTech floormats and a shorter antenna..........for now.
If you're trying to keep enough room in the back for people to sit, then that looks like the way to go. Where are you mounting the amp?

Nice. I keep one in my truck too. Haha. My buddy has a one that lights up that we used to play ultimate frisbee with in college that he keeps in his truck, too. I always have a ping pong paddle, volleyball, frisbee, and at least one fishing pole in my truck.

It depends on what kind of sub your running. You will have to take into consideration the outer lip of the sub also sticks out. I don't know what it is for most subs but on mine it sticks out a lot and has 1" of excursion.

Here are some pics of mine. It is quite a bit larger than yours but you get the idea.

It takes a lot of time to fit and get it right but good luck:) Hope it helps

im mounting the amp under the passager from seat. i took every advice and tweaked the design so there is plenty of room for full excursion.

Also as a side note i had to buy a full sheet of MDF so i can prob make 2 more box after mine. when im dont mine i will throw some pics up on here if anyone would be interested in buying one let me know. idk what to charge for them $25 a box? you would pay shipping if it need to be shipped. i honestly dont know price so willing to hear advise on that too
