Hmm, does the 1st gen. Tundra mud flaps fit by any chance? They are shorter:

'05 front flaps are ~10" measured from the start of the actual flap part down the middle to the very bottom.

'06+ front flaps are ~12.25" measured in the same manner.

    this is verified, without question.

I know this debate has been settled as to whether or not they were shorter, but just to verify I looked at mine that I had taken off and then some new ones I bought, OP is right, about 2.5" difference.

So my question is, does anyone know where you can get the 05 shorter mudflaps? I am not needing them, but if you order them from Toyota or other, are they going to be the long ones?

i was actually gonna call whatshisname at toyotapartsbarn.com to see because according to the lookups the same PN covers all years, which makes sense - i can imagine the later spec, which has run for 5+ years, superceded the earlier one year run 05 spec.

I wonder if 4Runner Mud Flaps will fit? The Tundra ones look completely different, but I was noticing how much shorter the 4Runners are..

They seem to be weaker. I see em all bent up on old trucks and people complaining about them folding. No way mine will fold without hitting something or affixing jato.

Take off the fronts-you dont need them. Plus the truck looks better without them.

I guess Toyota doesn't care if you're some fool like me who only needed to replace the flap on one side when it got torn off...I bought one from ebay off of a newer truck, and my '05 now has mismatched flaps. Time to get the tin snips I guess...

I like the shorter ones. The new ones look like the only thing they're ready for is a nice, smooth street.

So, has anyone found a source for the short, 05 front mud flaps?

By source do you mean retailer?

Yes, retailer, or a NOS (new old stock) Toyota part # that would allow us to buy the shorter mud flap new from Toyota.

Sorry, don't know, I have some cut down to match the 05s I might be willing to part with.

My experience has been that you're best bet is just to watch the auctions on ebay and ask the seller if they're shorter and if so, if they are original or have been cut down. Original shorter ones are very rare. There is no retail source that I have found (and I looked). I broke down and bought a pair of long ones off of ebay (which look ridiculous, would break off the first time the truck left the pavement, and so should be cut down anyway) and cut them down.

Heck, I might be willing to go flapless again and part with my originals if someone is that interested and the price is right. PM me if interested.

To be perfectly honest though, I do not necessarily want to part with them so I can't say they would go too cheap. Also note I am not wanting a bidding war, if I get any offer that I feel reasonable then they are gone.
