Wanted to know if it is acceptable to cut and solder the HID high voltage wires. I know they will need to be heavily insulated.

Guess I want to know if others have done it and if so, what should I be aware of to prevent problems down the road.

The high voltage wires pictured (bulb to ballast). I want to cut them to pass them through the factory Hella grommet (on right side of photo).

    Closer look at the wires.

    Thanks in advance. :)
